World Refugees Day
To celebrate World Refugees Day (June 20),
Caritas Lebanon Migrant’s Center took part
in some activities scheduled by the UNHCR
with its partners for refugees who have
found shelter in Lebanon.
Thursday, June 19:
National dances and handcraft made by
refugees were presented during an exhibition
that took place at the Babel Theater (Hamra)
in presence of the UNHCR’s delegate in
Lebanon, Mr.
Stéphane
Jacquemet).
Friday, June 20:
Lunch was offered to detainees at the
Retention Center of the General Security and
Roumieh Prison.
Saturday, June 21:
Recreational activities (games, sport and
special shows) were set up at Our Lady of
Jamhour School, for about 600 children.
