Caritas Lebanon ends its congress
Caritas Lebanon concluded in its Sin el Fil
head office the two days congress (4
&5 July 2010) entitled “All together
for a vision of the future” to which
it has invited its partners in the
Caritas network, in presence of
Caritas Internationalis Secretary
General, Mrs. Lesley Anne Knight and
CI Vice president, MENA President
Attorney Joseph Farah.
Rev. Simon Faddoul, President of
Caritas
Lebanon,
Bureau and Council members as well
as heads of various departments
actively participated to these
meetings.
The
first day, the different programs
and projects of Caritas Lebanon were
exposed, namely the humanitarian,
social, medical and development
ones, as well as all services
provided by the Migrants Center.
An
assessment session was carried out
the next day stressing on the strong
and weak points of the various
programs and projects, then
recommending some proposals to be
taken into consideration in order to
improve the impact of all activities
in favor of needy citizens.
Rev. Faddoul exposed to the
participants Caritas Lebanon’s new
vision of the future regarding
internal reorganization, relations
with the government and local NGO’s,
with partners and foreign
governments and with the Lebanese
Diaspora. He also mentioned the
introduction or adjustment of some
programs and projects with the
purpose of reaching a larger number
of needy people in the Lebanese
regions.
