Launching new food processing projects
One of Caritas Lebanon's
main objectives is to encourage
socio-economic development of Lebanese rural
areas, allowing people to earn their living
while staying in their hometowns. Thanks to
a moderate climate that permits repeated and
quality harvests of fruit and vegetables,
new food processing projects were launched
during summer 2007. Farmers will, therefore,
be able to increase capacities and
production and perhaps, later on, reach the
international market.
