After the August 4th Beirut Port explosion, and as part of ABIACO’s social responsibility initiative, the renowned German cheese producer Jermi Kaesewerk in Laupheim, generously contributed by donating more than 7 tons of German smoked cheese, to be channeled through Caritas Lebanon to the most affected people in Beirut.On Tuesday February 9, 2021 Messrs. Fouad and Patrick ABI AAD from ABIACO handed this donation to Caritas Lebanon in the presence of H.E. Andreas Kindl, the German Ambassador to Lebanon, Fr. Michel Abboud the President of Caritas Lebanon, Dr. Nicolas Hajjar VP of Caritas Lebanon, Mr. Andre Koueik Head of the Social Enterprise at Caritas Lebanon as well as Mr. Elias Aswad, President of the Lebanese German Business Council (LGBC).This event took place in ABIACO’s premises in Zouk Mosbeh, whereas Mr. Patrick ABI AAD thanked JERMI KASEWERK for its generous donation, shedding the light on the long relationship and family friendship that binds both companies since more than 40 years, and elaborated on the Lebanese-German strong connections throughout the years.Mr. ABI AAD also puts at Caritas disposal one of ABIACO’s cold rooms to store the goods until its full distribution has been achieved.H.E.
